BRITISH COUNCIL

Our relationship with British Council, Nigeria has been in excess of three years. From the curriculum design of ‘Talent is not Enough’ – an entrepreneurial management training program which is being used by other institutions across Africa to it’s delivery to about 200 young participants in the Creative Industry in Nigeria, wealth is being generated from talents -a key industry in United Kingdom.
Apart from partnering with us during the Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) 2010 campaign, the British Council is currently supporting our drive to promote entrepreneurial culture in our universities through the “Enterprise Partnership for Africa” project.

Goldman sachs

The Goldman Sachs 10,000 Women Initiative was launched March 2008 and was aimed at empowering 10,000 Women in developing and emerging economies across the world. Pan-Atlantic University is the partner for Nigeria, with EDC as it’s implementing unit. In July of 2008, EDC became the first partner worldwide to graduate scholars under the initiative. Since then, scholarships are being awarded to under-served women entrepreneurs every year to undergo our 5-months Certificate in Entrepreneurial Management (CEM) plus follow up services such as business advisory, consulting clinics, networking and mentoring.
A number of our 10,000 women graduates have won awards, make incredible breakthrough in their businesses and expanded their horizon through additional opportunities they’ve had post-graduation.

NB: EDS (Enterprise Development Services) became EDC (Enterprise Development Centre) of the Pan-Atlantic University in November, 2010.

Diamond bank

Diamond Bank has been a consistent and committed player in the micro, small and medium enterprise space. From the “Bright Ideas” project that encouraged, trained and financed innovative ideas to the current “Building Entrepreneurs Today” (BET) program, that seeks to develop, support and provide capital to high potential organizations, the alignment of Diamond Bank’s initiatives with EDC is the understanding that Capacity must be built before Capital is accessed.

9MObile NIgeria

Etisalat Nigeria offers products and services to Small and Growing Businesses in Nigeria.
As part of its efforts to support the sector Etisalat partnered with EDC on delivering the Market Access Nigeria and is the National Partner of the Global Entrepreneurship Week in Nigeria
Etisalat is actively working with EDC on developing premium content on the SME toolkit Nigeria site.

TCCAF and AAI

In collaboration with The Coca-Cola Africa Foundation and Africa-America Institute, the Enterprise Development Centre of the Pan-Atlantic University runs the Social Sector Management Program for nonprofits and those engaged in the social space. This Transformational Leadership Program help organizations and entrepreneurs in the social space to operate sustainably and create more value for the society.
In Dec 2010, the graduates organized the Social Sector Dialogue, a series that is meant to engage key players in the sector and get them to take action towards making our society a better place.

IFC and world bank

International Finance Corporation (IFC) - the private arm of the World Bank has been our partner since inception. From their Capacity Building Fund that provided part of the seed capital at the ‘proof of concept’ stage to the GBSN (Global Business School Network) intervention that assisted us in the development of our programs and services, our journey together has been rewarding. In 2006, with their support, our successful model of supporting Small and Medium Enterprises was replicated in four African Countries – Ghana, Kenya, Tanzania and Rwanda.
Today, EDC manages the SME Toolkit Nigeria, a web based resource that offers free business management information and training for small and medium enterprises (SMEs). Find out more at ….http://nigeria.smetoolkit.org/nigeria/
“In November 2010, EDC convened the first regional SME Toolkit conference that brought together about 250 experts, trainers, users, content and service providers from 10 countries in Africa and beyond to redefine and set new agenda on how the toolkit can impact even more the SME sector.”
In addition, EDC became the first IFC franchisee in Nigeria to deploy Business Edge training, with all our trainers certified.

Since its founding in 2003, the Center for Enterprise Development Services of the Pan-African University has been one of IFC’s true partners in creating opportunity. It has provided information to 20,000 businesses and helped 900 small businesses in Nigeria by providing in-depth services. Their commitment to small business development, results-oriented approach and overall can-do attitude has been critical to their success. IFC looks forward to continuing its collaboration with EDS to introduce innovative solutions to thousands of SMEs in Nigeria through the Global Business Schools Network, SME Entrepreneurship Development Initiative and SME Management Solutions Business EdgeTM and SME ToolkitTM products.”
